How do we help students feel like they belong and why is that the responsibility of an educator? How does the design of routine activities and assessments favour some students and prevent others from participating and flourishing? How do we manage the beliefs about gender that students bring to the classroom? The purpose of the workshop and the “Every Voice” project is to explore the unexpected ways gender can impact student experience, learning, and academic performance. The CASS Gender-Inclusive Teaching workshop is delivered through the “Every Voice” project – a campus-wide initiative funded by the ANU Gender Institute and the Centre for Learning and Teaching.
